"PETER LOVED IT HERE" - MARGARET'S MEMORIES
When Margaret returned to Calvert Devon for our 30th birthday celebration in April, she brought with her a lifetime of memories.
Now 89, Margaret visited the centre during its early years with her son, Peter. They attended for many years in a row in the 1990s, creating wonderful memories.
During her recent return, Margaret sat down with us to share some of those memories in her own words.
The conversation moved through moments of joy, challenge, laughter and loss, but one message came through clearly: Calvert Devon had been a place where Peter felt welcome, supported and able to take part.
“Peter loved it here,” Margaret told us. “He really did love it here.”
