The team
Our business is all about people so our staff are super important to us.
We have crafters, bookworms, mountain bikers, cooks, runners, gamers, movie buffs, dancers and everything in between. There are family people, single people, and couples working together. Overall the team are happy and caring people.

The location
Calvert Devon is situated at the edge of Wistlandpound Reservoir, near Blackmoor Gate in North Devon. You’ll find green fields, beautiful pine forests and rippling streams on the doorstep.
It’s a stunning but remote location, therefore having a car or easy transport to the centre is essential for any position.
The closest bus stop is Blackmoor Gate, where buses 309 and 310 between Barnstaple and Lynton stop. It’s then approximately half a mile to the centre, but please note, these roads are busy and narrow with no pavements or safe crossing spots.

The services we provide
Calvert Devon is an accessible activity centre and charity that provides activity breaks for people with physical, learning, behavioural, sensory or multiple complex disabilities. We also specialise in school residential breaks, especially for students who have disabilities, with a focus on learning outside the classroom.
We take a unique and person-centred approach to assist our guests along their journey to a more confident and empowered self, with our specially adapted centre and amazing staff team providing an inclusive attitude and atmosphere for all.
Our breaks include exciting adventure activities with highly trained instructors, accommodation, top food and dining, communal spaces, a swimming pool, and many other facilities to keep everyone happy.
